Historic Victorian

No detail was overlooked in this primary bathroom renovation located on the third floor of a historic Victorian home in Oak Park. We removed the client's built-in tub and replaced it with a freestanding soaking tub for a more modern style. What once was filled with beige travertine was reimagined by Robin to feature charcoal floor tiles in a herringbone pattern with gold trim and marble hexagon tiles along the border.

Gold bathroom accents and hardware popped against the natural wood cabinetry on the vanity. The blue floral wallpaper paired perfectly with the green wall treatment and trim. The artwork is an original piece that Robin purchased from a dealer at an antique show and was used to bring the entire room together.

"Robin is wonderful! She was accommodating and upfront while listening to and incorporating our preferences and quirks. She is excellent at maximizing flow and functionality of a space and helped us solve dilemmas in creative ways. We are so happy with our beautiful new basement and can hardly believe it’s our space!" - Esther R.
